Hummingbird by Vital Motion | Treatment for #Fibromyalgia #Sponsored #Review

"I have been given this product as part of a product review through my blog, The Migraine Diva. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company. "

Fibromyalgia hurts and it hurts everywhere. Getting out of bed in the morning can take several minutes because your joints are too stiff and your muscles are sore and achy. Feeling fatigued even before the day has started is a commonality.  When I am in an active flare my body feels like it is being used as a punching bag nonstop. I am in a constant state of exhaustion and the slightest touch hurts.

The pain is unbearable and unrelenting and I wish it would just disappear. My feet seem to get it the worst as they become super stiff and roaring with pain making it almost impossible to walk on them.  Usually, drawing a hot bath with epsom salts, lavender essential oil, and magnesium oil helps to quell some of the discomfort and pain.  But I barely have enough energy to take my clothes off let alone getting a bath ready.

My fibromyalgia flares up a lot when I travel.  Taking a hot bath while out on the road isn't very ideal (or always sanitary).  I am left to wearing compression hose, keeping my feet elevated, and drinking lots of herbal tea to reduce the edema in my ankles and feet. What I need is something that can help reduce my symptoms that I can easily take with me.

There is an easy to use and transportable device that can help ease my pain and discomfort and it's Hummingbird by Vital Motion.  What is Hummingbird and how does it work? According to the website, "The Hummingbird is a medical device designed and manufactured in the United States by Vital Motion.  It is intended to alleviate the muscle aches, pain, fatigue and related symptoms associated with fibromyalgia and other chronic health conditions."

Hummingbird helps to ease symptoms by improving blood circulation through tunable,
micro-mechanical stimulation to nerve ending in the front portion of your feet. Targeting these nerve endings causes the soleus muscle in the calves to contract. These muscles ensure proper blood circulation from the feet to the heart, upper body and brain.

Inactive or underactive soleus muscles, often seen in patients with fibromyalgia, leads to poor circulation causing blood and other fluids to pool in the feet.  Wide spread pain, lack of energy, poor sleep, and fibro fog can occur when the heart, upper body and brain do not get adequate blood circulation.

Hummingbird is super easy to use.  Whether you are at your desk at work, eating at the kitchen table, reading a book or watching your favorite television program, Hummingbird can be used.  It's small (14" x 7.5" x 2") and light enough (3 pounds) to take anywhere. Place the front portions of your feet on it and let Hummingbird do the rest!

I use my Hummingbird device twice a day. Once in the morning while I have my coffee and once in the evening while I am eating dinner. Sometimes I use it while I am blogging or doing some research for an article.  The convenient app that goes along with the Hummingbird lets me set how long and how strong I want it to work.  The app connects to the device via Bluetooth. You can set the stimulation time and level and start and pause your session through the app.

It is recommended to use the device two times a day at thirty minutes each, preferably once in the morning and once in the evening or before bed.  After using the Hummingbird, I feel refreshed, energized, and have significantly less pain.  I have even found it to help with lowering my pain if I use it during a migraine attack!  Sleep is much better when I use it in the evening, especially before bed. When I spend a lot of time on my feet and they begin to swell and ache, a session on the Hummingbird helps to relieve it.

I think this is a great device for people with fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions. I wasn't expecting it to help with migraine attacks but it was a very welcomed surprise. The Hummingbird is a device that I would recommend to the fibromyalgia and chronic pain communities.

So, how much does it cost? The Hummingbird device is $299.  Vital Motion offers two payment methods: 4 payments of $74.75 or one payment of $299.  Every purchaser is entitled to their 30 day risk-free trial program.  If you do not find relief after two daily 30-minute sessions, you can return the device and Vital Motion will issue a full refund and cover return shipping!

  5. I tried this device and had the worst pain experience ever. It activated every nerve in my body and has caused extreme burning, pins and needles like pain and horrible brain fog. I am beside myself for having tried this. Please proceed with caution if you are considering it.The last thing any of us with fibro want is more and worse pain!

    2. Hi Sue,

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Everyone's experience is different. Like you said, the last thing anyone with fibro wants is more or worsening pain.

      Wishing you well,
      Jaime
